After 35 years, the Kodak color film has been restored, digitized, computer enhanced, and artistically re-rendered for mixed media venues. The photographs document the moments before, during, and after the fight, and include images of the fighters, Muhammad Ali and Leon Spinks, along with photographs of ABC announcers, Howard Cosell, Frank Gifford, and Chris Shenkel. Additionally, images of former Heavyweight Champion, "Smokin" Joe Frazier, life long Ali trainer, Angelo Dundee, ringman, Bundini Brown, plus famous actor, "Rocky" Sylvester Stallone and actress Edy Williams. Ms. Williams' much talked about, but never seen images of her topless performance in the ring, prior to the fight are published here for the first time. The Final Victory defines for the historical record, the stunning sporting achievement of Muhammad Ali to regain, for an unprecedented 3rd time, the Heavyweight Championship Belt. Throughout the photo/art plates are numerous moving quotations from fellow Americans commenting on the fascinating aspects of the life of Muhammad Ali, as well as quotes from the Champ himself. In many ways, The Final Victory gives impetus to the reason why thousands of books have been written about Muhammad Ali in the first place. This is a must buy for Ali fans- the imagery is beautiful and the accompanying story lines and quotes are excellent. Read it through in one night and then put it on the coffee table for others to enjoy while relaxing. It's hard to put down!!
